Haul: Bicester Village Pandora Jewellery

Hey everyone,
So I thought I’d do something a little different today, I actually have a jewellery haul for you! A while ago I went to Bicester Village to spend some of my birthday money and I spotted a gorgeous Pandora ring, but they only had it in one size. I kept phoning up to ask if they had it back in stock in my size and about two weeks later they called to let me know they had just got one in, so I went back to Bicester to pick it up and ended up getting some other bits too that I just couldn’t resist! :)

For those of you that don't know, Bicester Village is an outlet centre in Oxfordshire, England. It has over 130 designer outlet shops, and is probably the best presented shopping centre I've ever been to. Pretty much everything is discounted and there are some amazing offers on some really popular brands for example; Ugg, Michael Kors, Mulberry, Pandora, Links of London and so many more. There is also a cosmetics outlet shop with Mac, Smashbox, Estee Lauder, Origins, Bumble & Bumble and Bobbi Brown to name a few! Perfect for us beauty addicts.

Pandora Silver Ring with Chalcedony £95 £55
This is the ring I wanted, how gorgeous is it?! Its absolutely huge and I just love the Chalcedony stone, pastel colours are really in at the moment for spring, so this is just perfect. I have the matching necklace pendant that my Mum bought me for Christmas, so was really happy when I found the matching ring :)
Sorry my hands look a bit gross, they're so dry at the moment and my nails were short for the first time in years when I took these pictures!
Pandora Chalcedony Earrings £95 £55
I then spotted the matching earrings, so I have the full set now! :) These come without the hooks, so you have to buy them seperately. I think these are so perfect for when you've got your hair up in a messy bun or something.
Pandora Silver White Quartzite Pendant £35 £16
When I was paying I saw this gorgeous pendant and I actually had this on my wishlist last year, so when she told me it was only £16, how could I resist! This is so simple, yet so pretty and even though I wouldn't usually go for white, I really love this.
Pandora Silver White Quartzite Earrings £40 £19 and Earring Hooks £15 £10
I was then shown the matching earrings to the pendant and they were only £19 so I couldn't say no for that price. They are so gorgeous and look perfect when worn with the matching pendant. But I can easily mix up all the different pieces that I bought because they all go well with each other. The hooks I bought were £10 and have a tiny little Cubic Zirconia stone to add a little sparkle, they work perfectly with both pairs of earrings.
Jewellery Box
I got this little heart shaped mini jewellery box free for spending a certain amount which was a nice little extra :)
Not only did I get lots of nice new jewellery, but I got it all for more or less half price! If you want any of these pieces and Bicester Village isn't local to you, even though they have been discontinued, you can find them online on official Pandora retailers where they are available full price.

Do you have any Pandora jewellery?

Favourites: April 2014

Hey everyone,
As usual, I’ve picked six of my favourite and most used items of the month. This month only one of the items is something I actually got in April, the rest are all items I’ve had for quite a long time, but maybe forgot about or didn’t use so much, until now. I’ve completely rearranged my makeup and bought some new storage, so I will do a post on that soon. Its just enabled me to rediscover so many items, that I completely forgot I even owned, just due to the fact every is now so much more organised :)
Sorry these are a bit late, but here are my April 2014 monthly favourites!
Dior Addict Lip Glow in '004 Coral'
I originally bought this in the pinky shade and I absolutely loved it. It stains the lips for hours and the colour adjusts to your skintone flawlessly. So when I saw Dior had released a new limited edition shade as part of their spring collection, I knew I had to have it! This shade (004 Coral) is perfect for spring/summer and I have been using it so much lately. These feel so light on the lips and are great for everyday use. It may seem expensive for what is essentially just a tinted lip balm, but it is so much more than that and is one of my longest lasting lip products. I'm not one for top ups when I'm out, so this makes life so much easier.
L'Oreal Gel Intenza Eyeliner in '02 Golden Black'
I got this nearly a year ago in a Latest In Beauty beauty box and never really used it until recently. It is something I would have never picked, having never really used a gel eyeliner but also due to the colour. I always just go for jet black, this one is still black but has gold specks running through it. I've definitely grown to love it though, its so, so easy to apply with the brush that comes included and is a complete bargain for £9.99! It looks great with a neutral smokey eye and especially good with shimmery colours and the gold specks make such a nice change, I wish I used this earlier, I've been missing out!
Laura Mercier Ambre Vanillé Soufflé Body Crème*
I won't say too much about this because I'm going to do a full review on it, next week! All I will say is that I've been loving it and it is so, so luxurious.
Benefit's Hoola Bronzer
I got this little sample in my Benefit advent calendar and I have been using it so much recently. I tended to opt more for just blushers in the winter, not the weather is starting to warm up a bit, I've been reaching for bronzers more and more and this one is just right for my pale skintone, it doesn't look orangey at all. The pigmentation is perfect, not too sheer and not too pigmented, and it just warms my skintone up beautifully :)
Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick in '101'
I have been opting for much more dramatic eyes recently, so have been toning it down with a subtle lip and this lipstick is perfect for that. I have worn this so much throughout April and the colour is just perfect, I find paler shades, especially pinks, usually cling to my dry lips much more than darker colours and this is one of the only shades that doesn't at all!
Kiko Eyebrow Designer Gel Mascara
Every time I do my brows, I set them with this gel mascara and it works amazingly at keeping my eyebrows set all day long. This is sometimes on offer for only £3.90, which is an incredible price, but is only £7.20 usually. It lasts for months and months, so is worth every penny :)

Have you tried any of these products?

Amazing Lancome Gift With Purchase Worth £140 at John Lewis, Hurry Ends Sunday 4th May!

Hey everyone,
I’m back with yet another Lancome gift with purchase offer, I just can’t resist them! I buy Lancome products a lot, I have tried most types of makeup/skincare from them and I just keep going back for more. There have only been one or two products that I haven’t got on with and I think I’ve probably tried about 30 of their products now, if not more! I always wait for a gift with purchase offer to purchase more goodies and this offer from John Lewis was too good to miss out on.
To receive the free gift you had to buy any two items, it was easy for me to pick two items, taking me all of five minutes to do so. I decided on two of their newly released items, ‘Lip Lover’ (a lipstick/balm/gloss hybrid) and ‘Le Sourcil Pro’ (a double ended eyebrow pencil/highlighter), both cost £18 each.
Le Sourcil Pro in ‘010 Blond’
This is a very new product and although I tend to opt for eyebrow gels rather than powders or pencils, I fancied a change and the idea of having the highlighter on the other end intrigued me too, so this was an easy decision for me. I chose the lightest shade, but there are three darker shades to choose from too. I also find that pencils give a much more natural look, so this will be perfect for ‘less dramatic’ makeup days.
Lip Lover in ‘316 Rose Attrape-Coeur’
I buy lip products every couple of weeks without fail so it was natural for me to gravitate towards the lip product section. I keep buying lipsticks, so thought it would make a welcome change if I tried something different. This has the shine of a gloss, the comfort of a balm and the pigmentation of a lipstick, apparently. I swatched a few and finally settled on this one, its just such a pretty pinky coral shade, perfect for spring/summer.
So, here’s what you get in your very generous free gift:
The products in this picture above are what everyone gets as standard, but you have a choice of two different skincare ranges as well, as you can see from the picture above that, I chose the Absolue range. You can either chose from the ‘Renergie’ range or the ‘Absolue’ range. Renergie is aimed at people with wrinkles, loss of firmness or dry skin and the benefits of using products within this range are as follows: ‘firming, lift with radiance, anti-ageing, wrinkle smoothing, plumping with moisture and contour redefinition’.
If you choose the Renergie option, you receive a 15ml day cream, 15ml night cream and you also receive a 5ml eye cream.  The day cream retails at £64 per 50ml, the night cream at £66 per 50ml and the eye cream at £44 per 15ml. Which puts the value of the three generously sized sample items you would receive at £53.66!
The other option, which is the one I chose, is the Absolue range, Lancome’s most expensive skincare range. The skincare problems this range is targeted at are: ‘dullness, fine lines, wrinkles, loss of firmness, loss of luminosity and loss of plumpness’. Using products from this range, you can expect to experience the following: ‘anti-ageing, nourishes with moisture, increases comfort, smoothes the appearance of wrinkles, face skin looks firmer, radiance regeneration, skin feels suppler, healthy-looking complexion’.
Choosing this option, you receive a 15ml day cream, 15ml night cream and a 5ml sample of the serum. This range is priced significantly steeper, with the day cream retailing at £108 per 50ml, the night cream at £136 per 50ml and the serum at £155 per 30ml! Which means if you chose this option of skincare free gift, your items would be worth a whopping £85.43! What is this stuff, liquid gold?!
Here is a quick break down of the products you receive in the free gift:
L’Absolu Rouge in ‘06 Rose Nu’
This mini lipstick is rich and claims to be capable of eight hours of hydration, for smoother fuller lips. The shade ‘Rose Nu’, is the most popular shade in the range of 31 lipsticks and is a beautiful natural reddy pink, ‘my lips but better’ shade. The full size is 4.2ml and retails at £22.50, making this 1.6ml sample worth around £8.48.
Blush Subtil in ‘021 Rose Paradis’
This was one of the items that sold the free gift to me, this ultra cute mini blusher, perfect for travel. Its so compact and such a vibrant shade. Lancome blushers are really nice and have great lasting power, so I’m really happy to be able to try a new shade. This retails at £27 for the 6g full size version, so this 2.5g version is worth £11.25!
Galateis Douceur Gentle Softening Cleanser for Face and Eyes
I have used this cleanser for a few years now and its the perfect cleanser for me. It smells amazing first of all, but it  also works excellently at removing traces of makeup and really plumps the skin, leaving it so soft and hydrated. Its also great for sensitive skin and is so very gentle. 200ml of this retails at £23, so this 125ml sample is worth £14.37.
Hypnose Mascara in ‘Black’
I have received so many of these samples over the past year but have never actually tried them out! I am so used to using my YSL mascara that I never even think of trying out others, that’s something I’ll definitely have to do! This is said to be ultra-light, with a smudge-proof formula capable of building 6x volume! Sounds perfect to me. Full size is 6.5g and retails at £22.50, this is a 2ml sample so is worth around £6.92.
Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentre Serum
I love Lancome’s serums, both this one and the Visionnaire serum. They really do make a visible difference to the skin, these are the benefits of using Advanced Genifique serum according to the Lancome website: smoothes fine lines and deep wrinkles, boosts radiance, clarifies and evens skin tone, improves skin texture, increases elasticity and tonicity, firms skin and hydrates. I would definitely agree strongly with all of these, although I’m not sure about the fine lines/deep wrinkles bit as I don’t have any of them yet! This retails at £59 for 30ml and this sample is 7ml, so worth around £13.76.
Here’s a bit more about the skincare products that I chose to be included in my free gift from the Absolue range:
Absolue Premium ßx Day Cream
This extremely luxurious and very expensive face cream is said to replenish moisture and regenerate radiancy. It also has SPF 15 which is really handy and you just apply it as normal after cleansing, toning and applying serum in the morning. I will be saving this for a special occasion (I'm not sure what type of special occasion warrants using £2.16 per ml face cream though)! My 15ml sample is worth £32.40, so I will be using this very sparingly!
Absolue Premium ßx Night Care Cream
This is to be used in exactly the same way as the day cream, only you apply it after your evening routine, last thing after your serum. This is said to make your skin look more refined and rested, giving you results from day one. The sample I have of this is 15ml and worth £27.20, so again, I will be saving this for when my skin needs some serious TLC.
Absolue Oleo Serum
This serum is said to improve skin's elasticity, making it feel more plumped, while rendering skin silky to the touch and also regenerating radiance. This 5ml sample is worth £25.83, so I will be using this only when my skin needs a real indulgent treat!
So, all together this free gift is worth: £140.21! I paid £36 for my two items, so got myself a huge bargain. If you want to take advantage of this offer, be quick because its instore only at John Lewis and is ending on Sunday 4th May. Also if you buy a third item, you get to choose either an exfoliator or hydration mask (full size) as an extra free gift. The cheapest Lancome item you can buy is a nail varnish (£12), so even if you buy two of them and spend £24, its worth it just for the free gift :)

MyBeautyCompare: Product Recommendations (Bronzer)

Hey everyone,
Recently I discovered a new website called MyBeautyCompare, you can sign up and fill out a relatively detailed questionnaire about your skin tone, skin concerns, hair type/concerns etc and you receive product recommendations best suited to you, based on your skin/hair types.
For example, if I look at the bronzer section of the site, this is what comes up for me:
beauty matches
The four bronzers pictured numbered one to four are meant to be the bronzers most suited to my skin tone and type. Below the four recommendations for me, there are three pages with just under 180 different bronzers to look at! You can review each product and give it a 1-5 star rating or read other people’s reviews. When searching through bronzers (and all other sections of the site), you can order them by price (low-high, high to low), best reviews, brand names (a-z or z-a) or popularity.
Once you have clicked on a product you’re interested in, you can read a description and there is also a ‘price comparison’ section, which gives you prices and links to websites to buy the product from. There are so many products on this site and they range from budget brands right through to much more expensive, high end brands.
I have tried one out of the four suggested and it happens to be the number one suggestion; Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer. I received a sample of this bronzer in my Benefit advent calendar last year and it quickly became my go-to bronzer, perfectly suited to my very pale skin.
Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer has just the right amount of pigmentation; not overly pigmented so that you have to have the steadiest hand to apply it without giving yourself bright orange cheeks and not so sheer that you have to apply tonnes of product to get any sort of colour pay off. It blends so effortlessly and has such a velvety soft texture.
This is a completely matte bronzer, which I love. Most of my bronzers have some sort of shimmer running through them, so this is a really nice alternative. This bronzer lasts forever, I have a tiny sample that I received at some point in December and I’ve used it so much already and I still haven’t hit the bottom yet, but when I do, I will definitely be repurchasing!
Overall, this bronzer is incredible. Its definitely the most natural bronzer I own by far and doesn’t look orange at all, even on my ultra pale skin. MyBeautyCompare were spot on placing it at number one on my bronzer recommendations.
MyBeautyCompare doesn’t just recommend makeup products, they also have categories for skincare, bodycare, hair, hands and feet and even fragrance. All with so many different options (nail oil, anti-cellulite products, spot treatments, masks and peels, shampoo) that they categorise into a top four products suited to you, but you can also look through hundreds of other products to see all the different product options for each different category.
If you want to sign up to MyBeautyCompare it takes less then two minutes :) and you’ll find plenty of new products you have never heard of before, I guarantee it!

John Lewis Beauty Event: What I Bought (Chanel, Clinique and YSL) and What I Received In My Goody Bags!

Hey everyone,
About a month ago, I went to my third John Lewis beauty event, tickets were £5 and with that ticket, you were entitle to a free goody bag. Then the £5 you spent on a ticket was redeemable against anything purchased on the night. You fill out your details on the ticket and hand it back when you purchase something and you get entered into a prize draw. I actually ended up with three goody bags because I bought three tickets, one for me, one for my Mum and one for my Fiance (for any face washes or anything he might have wanted), neither of them wanted anything, so I ended up buying products from three different counters for myself and getting three goody bags all to myself! :)
I have posted about the previous beauty events I have attended at John Lewis and you can find them here and here!
Here's what I got this time round:
First I went to the YSL counter to repurchase my favourite mascara, Volume Effet Faux Cils. I am on my third tube of this now and I still feel like I will never buy another mascara! It is expensive at £24.50 a tube, but it lasts me at least six months which is about five months longer than regular mascaras last me before they dry up! You can see my review on it here, this was one of my very first posts, so its pretty awful and very brief but the pictures are very clear on how amazing this mascara is! :)
This mascara is perfect at separating the lashes, never clumps and I just can’t get over how much it lengthens my lashes, in only a few strokes and I only ever apply just one coat!

I asked for a sample of their new ‘Top Secrets All in One BB Creme’ in ‘Light’ and also their new CC cream ‘CC Creme Colour Corrector’ in the shade ‘Lavender’.  I’ll have to let you know how I get on with these! They are both hugely generous samples and will last me plenty of applications :)
Lastly, here are the contents of the goody bag that I received with my YSL purchase:
- Givenchy Ange Ou Demon Le Secret Eau De Parfum 1ml x3
- Steam Cream 3ml x2
- Philosophy 3-in-1 Purity Cleanser for Face and Eyes 6ml
- Philosophy Hope in a Jar Moisturiser 2ml x2
- Philosophy Hope in a Jar Night Moisturiser 2ml
- Ren Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask 5ml
- Acqua Di Parma Magnolia Nobile Eau De Parfum 1.5ml
- Floris London Cefiro Eau De Toilette 2ml
- Philosophy Microdelivery Exfoliating Facial Wash 6ml
- Molton Brown Vitalising Vitamin A, B + C Bath and Shower 30ml
- John Lewis Nail Polish in ‘Seaside’ 10ml (Full Size)
- Neal’s Yard Remedies Frankincense Hydrating Cream 5ml
- Heathcote & Ivory Beau Jardin Hand Cream in ‘Citrus Grove’ 30ml
- Rituals Yogi Glow Indian Rose & Sweet Almond Oil Foaming Shower Gel Sensation 50ml
- Clarins Multi-Active Night Youth Recovery Cream 5ml
Next, I headed to the Chanel counter. I only have one item from Chanel (the Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Powder) and I adore it so really wanted to try something else. I can’t stop buying lip products lately, so it seemed logical to test out what Chanel had to offer!
I decided on trying a lipstick from the ‘Rouge Coco Shine’ range, described as ‘hydrating sheer lipshine’, which sounded perfect for me. I tend to opt for sheer formulas, like tinted lip balms, and I always have to go for a hydrating lipstick. I picked the shade ‘55 Romance’, which is a gorgeous medium pink shade.
Here’s what I got in my second goody bag:
- Ren Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask 5ml
- Philosophy Full of Promise Treatment Serum for Uplifting Days 2ml
- Philosophy Full of Promise Treatment Serum for Volumizing Nights 2ml
- Givenchy Play for Her Eau De Parfum 1ml x3
- Philosophy Hope in a Jar Moisturiser 2ml x2
- Philosophy Hope in a Jar Night Moisturiser 2ml
- Philosophy Eye Hope Multitasking Eye Cream for Dark Circles, Puffiness & Lines 2ml
- Floris London Elite Eau De Toilette 2ml
- Philosophy Purity 3-in-1 Cleanser for Face and Eyes 6ml
- Acqua Di Parma Iris Nobile Eau De Parfum 1.5ml
- Clarins Multi-Active Night Youth Recovery Cream 5ml
- John Lewis Nail Polish in ‘Festival’ 10ml (Full Size)
- Orla Kiely Bergamot Hand Cream 10ml
- Coco Mademoiselle Chanel Eau De Parfum 2ml
- Heathcote & Ivory Beau Jardin Hand Cream in ‘Citrus Grove’ 30ml
- Rituals T’ai Chi White Lotus & Green Tea Foaming Shower Gel Sensation 50ml
Lastly, I popped over to the Clinique counter. I rarely buy anything from Clinique so thought it would be a great opportunity to try one of their famous Chubby Sticks. I have tried one before but it wasn’t in a shade I would have picked myself, so I decided to see what other shades they had!
I decided to go for the shade ‘14 Curvy Candy’ which is a gorgeous sheer bubble-gum pink, and as soon as I swatched it, I knew I had to take it home with me :)
Here’s what I got in my third goody bag:
- Ren Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask 5ml
- Givenchy Play for Her Eau De Parfum 1ml x2
- Philosophy Microdelivery Exfoliating Face Wash 6ml
- Philosophy Hope in a Jar Moisturiser 2ml
- Rituals Yogi Flow Indian Rose & Sweet Almond Oil Foaming Shower Gel Sensation 50ml
- Valentina Eau De Parfum 1.5ml
- Philosophy Purity 3-in-1 Cleanser for Face and Eyes 6ml
- Clarins HydraQuench Cream-Mask 5ml
- John Lewis Nail Polish in ‘Pillar Box’ 10ml (Full Size)
- Neal’s Yard Remedies Frankincense Hydrating Cream 5ml
- Givenchy Very Irresistible Eau De Toilette 1ml
- Di Palomo Enriching Hand & Nail Cream with Aloe & White Grape 25ml
- Floris London JF Eau De Toilette 2ml
- Heathcote & Ivory Beau Jardin Hand Cream in ‘Rose & Geranium’ 30ml
- Acqua Di Parma Iris Nobile Sublime Eau De Parfum 1.5ml
So, overall I got some amazing new samples to test out and also got myself two new products to try, as well as an old favourite too :) I will hopefully be doing some reviews on the two lip products too!
Thanks for reading!

Not The Best Experience with Drugstore Lip Crayons: RIMMEL (Lasting Finish Colour Rush), REVLON (Colorburst Lacquer Balm) and BARRY M (Gelly Lips)

 Hey everyone,
Last week I decided to go into Boots and pick up some new bits to try. I’ve seen to many reviews about the Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balms, I knew I wanted to pick one of them up, so thought I would try three different lip crayons and compare the three.

Although I don't like writing negative reviews, none of these lip crayons worked for me, but I have seen them work perfectly well for others!
I decided on the Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in '105 Demure' which is a nude peachy shade, Rimmel Lasting Finish Colour Rush in '100 Give me a Cuddle' an everyday pink and Barry M's Gelly Lips in 'GSL 5 - Capella' a deeper blue toned pink. I tried to go for shades suitable for everyday wear.
Left to Right: Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Demure, Rimmel Lasting Finish Colour Rush in Give me a Cuddle and Barry M Gelly Lips in Capella.
Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Demure (£7.99)
In my local Boots, there was only four shades to choose from, I chose Demure because the other three shades were far too vibrant. Demure is a peach-toned nude with a hint of shimmer running through it. On application it is extremely sheer and doesn't really do anything for my lips. It just washed out the natural colour of my lips and other than that all it did was made them look slightly glossy. It seems to settle into every line/crack, my lips aren't visibly lined at all really but in these pictures and in real life it made them look extremely lined and just not very nice.  Also, it does cling to dry patches, not majorly but it definitely seems to highlight any problem areas.
This definitely isn't the lip crayon for me, I just found it quite boring really. Maybe the other shades in this collection are better, but I just didn't like the formula. It wasn't hydrating and didn't feel nice on the lips.
Rimmel Lasting Finish Colour Rush in Give me a Cuddle (£5.99)
I chose this delicate everyday pink thinking it would be perfect for daytime use. On application it is quite a lot darker than I was expecting, it is a really pretty colour actually and is nicely pigmented. But, again, it settles into lines (I didn't know I had) and clings to every bit of dry skin. Prior to applying this lip cryon and the others, I had exfoliated my lips and applied Reve de Miel lip balm, and they didn't look dry at all before I applied this. It doesn't have a smooth finish, and although its hydrating, it does look patchy where it is darker in places from clinging to any patches/lines.
Another lip crayon, that just isn't for me! You can see in the pictures, how it has settled into the lines but it doesn't show just how bad it actually looked in real life. Although it wasn't awful, I know I won't be wearing this in a hurry.
image (1)

Barry M Gelly Lips in Capella (£4.99)

Last and definitely least, is this one, the Barry M Gelly Lips. As you can see from the picture above it clings to absolutely everything, considering my lips aren't dry at the moment, imagine if they were! It makes them look so cracked and lined and just doesn't have a smooth finish at all. This formula is extremely thick and just reminds me of a cakey concealer, clinging to everything and anything it can! This lip crayon also had an almost chemically scent/taste, not very nice at all.

I decided to include a picture of my natural, bare lips just to show you that they're not dry (at the moment) or insanely lined. Its just the lip crayons that seem to have made them look really gross!
image (2)

So, I'm not impressed at all with any of these lip crayons. I have other lip crayons at home that are perfectly fine, so its definitely just the formula of these particular ones that didn't work for me!

Thanks for reading!

Have you tried any of these lip crayons before?
